CONDITIONS WE TREAT
Disclaimer: At Emergence Health, we avoid labeling people with a diagnosis or syndrome. These labels are used to describe a set of symptoms and often do not tell us the underlying reason why they occur. Many illnesses can present with the same symptoms and many symptoms can present for the same illnesses. This can be confusing and not helpful when trying to understand what is going on with your body. Solely for ease of explanation, we will list syndromes and diseases here to provide an overview of common conditions we manage.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO),
parasites, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), irregular menses, menopause, infertility, alternatives to birth control, adrenal fatigue
and hormone replacement therapy for men and women.
Diabetes, insulin resistance, hypertension, high cholesterol, overweight.
Detoxification, heavy metal toxicity, mold illness (CIRS).
Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Celiac Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
Lupus, Sjogren's, Multiple Sclerosis.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW IS EMERGENCE HEALTH DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MEDICAL CARE?
6 out of 10 Americans suffer from a chronic disease that is lifestyle driven. The current healthcare system is not designed to manage chronic disease. Conventional providers treat these conditions with medications and expensive specialists. Our scientific, holistic approach to care gets to the root of symptoms to help the body heal, reducing the need for ongoing medication and expensive treatments.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Our office does not accept insurance. But you can use out-of-network benefits through insurance to get anywhere from 40-70% of the membership cost reimbursed. Many patients also use FSA or HSA for payment.
WHERE DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES?
Anywhere you would like! Emergence Health is a telehealthcare company. We conduct our appointments with patients via video or phone call. We also provide the option for home health visits, where our providers come to you. This health care model makes receiving medical care convenient, easy, and efficient.
CAN EMERGENCE HEALTH BE MY PRIMARY CARE?
Emergence Health’s provider, Leah Geoghegan, is trained in both primary care and functional medicine and is able to provide both services to her patients. However, there are some primary care services we do not provide and recommend you maintain relationships with other providers for these needs. For example, we recommend female clients maintain an OBGYN for pap smear screenings.
